Billy Talent est un groupe de punk-rock originaire de Mississauga. Les membres habitent désormais dans le centre-ville de Toronto.

Leur nom est inspiré d'un des personnages du film Hard Core Logo. Avant de s'appeler Billy Talent, le groupe s'appelait Pezz (ils ont eu ce nom durant 7 ans).
